The Village of Roscoff is located 12 km or about 10 minutes from the camping Mer et Yourtes de Plouénan. Leaving the Campsite, turn left on the D58 road, until you reach the centre-city of Roscoff. Numerous car parks around the port, will allow you to leave your vehicle and start your walk in the beautiful village of Roscoff.

At 12 km from the campsite Roscoff, village Mer et Yourtes, find the charming coastal village of Roscoff, port located in Finistère Nord.
Start your walk in the city center where old houses, residences in granite of 16ᵉ and 17ᵉ centuries succeed one another.
Discover the house known as “de Mary Stuart” whose facade is decorated with emblems. Place Lacazze Duthiers, observe the remarkable dormer windows of the old houses. Visit the church of Our Lady of Croaz Batz in Gothic style, its bell tower, on the outside walls note the carved caravels. Towards the Aber cove, discover the spa town where thalassotherapy treatments developed from the end of the 19th century. The pretty beach of Roc’h Kroum, whose reputation is well established, requires that you laze around.
On the way, stop at the Johnnies and Roscoff’s Onion House. The Johnnies were the nickname given by the English to the inhabitants of Roscoff who, from 1828 onwards, embarked each year for Great Britain to sell their onions.
Head towards the tip of Bloscon, the minute chapel of Saint Barbara throne in the middle of a pleasant garden. Get back in the car and head towards Roscoff’s garden, it has been awarded the label “remarkable garden”. You will discover 3000 species of subtropical plants, originating from the four corners of the world. From this garden, an overhanging rock allows us to have a magnificent view over the whole Morlaix Bay.
Book a whole day for a excursion on the island of Batz, possibly plan a picnic, Embark at the old port of Roscoff, the crossing takes about 15 min, tickets are sold at the kiosk near the pier. Situated 2 km from the mainland, you will be able to criss-cross the island on foot or by bike (rental on site possible).
This island is 4 km long and 1 km wide and is surrounded by beaches and creeks. In the north-east, the beaches are more sheltered, in the south-west, in a pleasant setting, you will discover the old fort, the village and the Lighthouse of L’ile de Batz. A peregrination through the maze of alleys with flowered houses is a must.
Especially not to be missed, the extraordinary colonial garden, created in 1897 by Georges Delaselle. Currently maintained by the Conservatoire du Littoral, it has some 2,500 species of plants, most of which are native to the southern hemisphere. On the way back, discover the snake hole, according to the legend, the Saint Pol-Aurelian would have precipitated in the waves with the help of his stole the dragon that was attacking the island. There is a heap of large rocks, bordering the moor. Beware the legend also says, that at high sea, you can always hear the animal’s moans.
